In today's episode (Ep 34), we beat a level on the Super Expert difficulty 100 Mario Challenge for the very first time! What happens next? (spoiler alert - Ted gets SUPER mad) Come downstairs and have a seat with us on the couch right here in The Basement!
Here's what Nintendo user LunyRed had to asy about Super Expert mode over at GameFAQs:

"I tried playing Super Expert 100 Mario Challenge for the first time, and I think it wasn't so bad, based from my experience. I managed to beat this mode with only 21 lives remaining after the castle level.
"I found some really good challenging levels and I happen to like them that's why I starred them when I beat them. I did lose a lot of lives from those levels. 5 of the levels were OK/good except for the 4th level I've beaten which was terrible in level design and I even managed to snatch a Lakitu cloud to fly to the goal easily. I've only skipped 3 levels that I couldn't beat, and 2 of those levels were Kaizo levels: One was a 20 second speedrun challenge while the latter was full-blown Kaizo level where Mario begins the level by falling mid-air and he has to quickly grab a falling Buzzy shell to do a mid-air shell jump. Wha? No way I could beat that! I checked from my Played courses and both of those Kaizo levels were unbeaten. Probably now they already have clears.
"I spent an hour in trying to beat Super Expert. I played Expert mode after that and playing through 16 difficult stages took so much time compared to 6 extremely hard stages. In contrast, I spent double the time for beating Expert. In this case, I'd rather play Super Expert now than playing Expert. I think there's very little difference (or none at all) to the difficulty of levels presented in both modes. And playing through 6 levels is more efficient than going through 16. Saves me a lot of time, tbh.
"When I completed Super Expert and then Expert yesterday, both of the costumes I earned were from the Normal roster. -_- At least I already obtained Tetra (from SE, heh..) which is one among the newest costumes available after the update. I'm getting sick of obtaining Normal roster costumes from higher difficulty. So I'm just going to finish collecting all costumes first from Normal before I come back to Super Expert to unlock the remaining costumes. I wouldn't really complain if I unlocked an Expert-tier costume from Super Expert."
