The Tutorial doesn't do a very thorough job of telling you what it wants you to do sometimes, and this gets particularly confusing toward the end when it's having you do really high level stuff (although it doesn't tell you it's high level stuff), and yet it doesn't offer tips on timing, like VF4 did, or even a demo so you could see the frame timing it expects.
Then it gets into evades or defensive moves or whatever and really doesn't make sense as it tries to get you to get punched, then so some really tricky timing evasion maneuvers--again, the timing is left up to you to suss out somehow, and for some reason, at this point it switches to making you do these tricks successfully five times *in a row*, so one little slip and you have to start all over. Not a very fun way to try learning things.
Command Training has its shortcomings as well: it doesn't offer the VF4-style timing tips, and you can't even play a demonstration of the execution of all the moves--just a few of them (VF4 will show you a demo of any move!). Admittedly, the handful of moves I couldn't do, it did have demos for--but the timing of the required final-stage input was still unclear to silly me. So that wasn't all very fun.
But I did pick up a couple nifty moves, and then went into Special Sparring--now set to Very Hard instead of just Hard!--for a workout. And it was really fun! Tough, but man those fights are getting meaty now, you can really bite into them. I love fighting the crazy woodsman Wolf named "Mahoney"! : D
