The homeworld is close at hand, our trip is almost over, and I for one am fucking done with the MugwasdfNotOkay. I'm fucking done with it, permanently. We've spent two whole games, like ten hours total at least, reviewing how Not Okay it is, and I think by now, we have established to everyone's satisfaction alll the relevant facts of its late history, including, again, how things weren't okay.

If there are more games in this series, and I can only hope one day there are, I'm hoping for a new 'adventure' of some kind, even if it's like these and just document reading. As long as we have our friends/AI waifus/whatever by our side, we can take it, and we can get the job done.

Speaking of which, so yeah. This route isn't canon, which was established early into this game by Christine Love breaking the fourth wall and beating you over the head with it. That makes me sad, considering, as you've seen as we went through this, that this route is as valid as any others from an emotional and dramatic standpoint. It offers rafts of content you can't get any other way, like the back-and-forth and the inter-AI interaction. It has its own high and low moments and dramatic scenes.

So in my own heart, yes, it is canon, damnit. I hate that I had to cheat to get it. I suppose the writer was making a point about visual novels and wanting to have everything in video games and wanting to have the stereotypical happy end but you know what? Yes I do. I bothered to save everyone on the Suicde Mission, I always wanted the best ending the Fable III so I ground gold, etc, etc. If a 'best' option appears to me I'll always try to take it.

That's probably my only issue with this game and the original, the fact that this route, although it's included and valid, is ultimately dismissed, and is literally impossible to do without gaming the system. WITH all that said, however, still, major props to the writer. In every route and every document she just writes damn well, and damn human.

I highly recommend her stuff to anyone who likes a good story delivered in an interesting, modern, imaginative way.
