#1157 Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks (PS2) Bosses (2/15): Kintaro gameplay
Gameplay of the boss Kintaro in Midway/Netherrealm’s Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks.
Kintaro’s moves:
• Square: Punch
• Triangle: Air Grab
• Circle: [Nothing]
• R1+Square: Fireball
• R1+Triangle: Uppercut
• R1+Circle: Stomp Attack
• Square+Triangle: [Nothing]
• Triangle+Circle: [Nothing]
• Circle+Square: Throw attack
Kintaro really isn’t great here. Shock and horror, I know. He’s very basic, a bit slow, and honestly just kind of rubbish. His moves are way too slow to be effective. His best move is his throw, which hits three times and is executed really quickly. His fireball isn’t too shabby either, and his punch attack is good for crowd control, but a little on the slow side. In general, however, he’s considerably more basic than the majority of the characters and a little awkward to use on the whole. Which, ironically, was the same complaint I made about him in MK9. At least Netherrealm is consistent with this stuff!
Next up, the sub-sub-boss.
