0So... I had a lot of fun with this one. But probably not for the reasons clickteam was expecting...
Clickteam. This is a fun game. No doubt about that. It looks fun to play, it feels like it could be fun to play. Idk if my being bad when I was actually trying to play the game correctly was a skill issue on my part, but both heavy and light karts felt very weird, and drifting to the point of stopping in place, especially on long curves that needed longer drifts, needs to be fixed.
On the topic of needing to be fixed... The Sinkhole is absolutely broken. I understand wanting to create an interesting course with antigravity and branching paths. Still, the antigravity mechanic (which I lovingly refer to as the mk8 mechanic) is more of a "attracts the kart bottom to the nearest polygon" mechanic, which can lead to out-of-bounds scenarios and softlocks as seen in the video. It also has the potential for ultra shortcuts, which I think could be cool, since I rode the wall for a very long time in one instance, but I don't think the game developers want that. I like the game, I like its ideas, I like its concepts. However, some things need to be fixed/improved for the game to feel more like a functioning kart racer, even if it's not mk level. I'll be revisiting this game before an update and after, since I seriously do want to have fun with this game, but like... in its current state... it is definitely not what I was expecting.
