0This is a 2 loop clear of Pleiads, made by Tecmo and relesed on arcade in 1981.
This game plays surprisingly well. At first look the graphics and sounds made me believe that this was a janky game but playing the game I instantly realised that this wasn't the case. The controls are very precise and the sound effects make this an experience to play.
In the game you start off by defending your base against the invasion. Then you take off into space to fight off the incoming ships and the finally fighting the mothership.
After this you're called back to earth where you have to land on a populated runway with shifting 1000 miles an hour crosswinds so that you constantly have to correct you directions so you don't crash into the other ships parked on the runway.
