2016 Toyota Sequoia | 5 Reasons to Buy | Autotrader
Toyota has quite the lineup, and the most popular Toyota you can think of probably isn't the Sequoia. But don't let that dissuade you: The Sequoia has tons to offer besides spaciousness and great value. Here are five reasons why you'll want to put your family in the 2016 Toyota Sequoia.
Standard Features Galore
When it comes to extra features on a full-size SUV, you can usually expect to pay more. Not so with the Sequoia: It comes standard with keyless entry, 18-inch alloys and even heated mirrors. You also get a 6.1-in Entune infotainment system, which offers cool capabilities in addition to Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity.
V8 Power
This SUV is ready for anything -- towing, an off-road drive, you name it. After all, its platform is based on the tough Toyota Tundra. The one available engine is a good one, a 5.7 liter V8 that generates 381 horsepower. The Sequoia even has a towing capacity of about 7,400 pounds, which is more than enough to get that boat out to the lake and then some.
Gracious Interior
As far as spacious interiors go, the Sequoia has one of the most impressive. The generous cabin comfortably seats eight. You can also opt for second-row captain's chairs; this option takes that number down to seven passengers. But no matter which configuration you go with, there's a ton of room: about 18 cu ft. of space with all the seats in place.
Priced Right
The full-size SUV class runs pretty deep, from the Expedition to the Suburban. With a sticker price of around $45,000, the Sequoia is reasonable, especially for its size. Plus, the top-of-the-line Platinum trim level starts under $62,000. When you factor in quality and reliability, the Sequoia delivers.
Versatile Cargo
Loading up the Sequoia is easy -- this vehicle is as functional and versatile as they come. The 60/40-split second and third row make loading up easy, and the top two trim levels offer a power fold-flat and reclining third row. Fold it all down, and you'll have a healthy 120 cu ft. in the cargo hold -- generous to say the least.
Autotrader Says
The 2016 Toyota Sequoia can rival high-end luxury SUVs with a spacious cabin, towing capability and features galore. Tack on reliability and value, and this could be the perfect SUV for you and your family.
