Hello and welcome to another educational videos, helping out of of the newer players with getting started in inquisitor
Tip number 1 - join the discord, if you ever have a question there will be players around to help you out and even join you on missions if you need more help. I'll leave the link down in the description
Tip number 2 - When choosing your starting gear remember it's only gear and try to avoid melee for the first few missions - wait till you have some passives or such that can help you maintain health on missions
Tip number 2 - In the beginning - Visit the shop asap - There Will probably be gear that is better than what you start with, I find health regen one of the more important stats to start with, - if you don't know what all the numbers are - check out my character customisation part 1 video and all of this will be explained. Keep an eye out in particular for some better weapons.
When it comes to picking missions start with a power level 1 - this means the mission difficulty will effectively be set to "normal" picking higher numbers will effectively increase the difficulty. Feel free to start off with an investigation, which is a string of missions with a few RPG choices before you set off. These start easy and get progressively harder, so can even be a nice starting point for those learning the game.
During the combat, remember to hold the shift key when you want to stand in place and just shoot, this is really helpful for weapons like the heavy bolter which do channelleed abilities or when you want to just shoot an area near enemies.
Now - use the space bar to make use of cover - a lot of peopel will tell you that you don't need it, well don't listen to them, it looks badass, you take less damage and it looks badass
Try to have at least one weapon with an armor pericing / or bypass ability. These will be plasma, melta and some power weapons. When you meet your first dreadnaught you will understand why, trying to kill these units. without the appropraite weapon is a real pain... That leads neatly onto my next tip..
Tip number 3, when faced with big rooms, don't forget to run away and fight enemies on your own terms, there will be plenty of occasions where if you try to fight the enemies all at once you will die! - Be patient. remember dreads will reset, other mobs will chase, use this.
