This color is the grey metallic paint and while it looks mean, I had to wait till the ARMY GREEN color came in to include it in this video because THAT color is by far my favorite.
So starting off on the outside you do get a lot of extra bits standard because this is a TRD. In terms of the front, this has not 1 but 2 HOOD VENTS and I mean it hurts twice as much to say these are not functional. But this isn’t unusual for Toyotas TRD models. I like the Toyota heritage badging touch and the front grill suits this truck really well. A key highlight on the front is the factory integrated ridged industry fog lights which are really bright and pair up nicely with the lead headlights. Lastly, you do have the quart inch thick front skid plate and you do have the option of adding a skid plate under the fuel tank
Going on to the side I have to highlight these BBS Forged rims which is AMAZING to see on this tundra, these are high-quality rims and I think the looks also suit this truck really well. You have the blacked out 5.7l v8 badge telling you this a special truck but the real kicker is the large TRD PRO stamped panel which matches the tundra stamping on the tailgate. but before we get to the rear I do want to give you guys a peep under th wheel well to take in the glory of the FOX shocks! This is why you buy the trd pro! These dampers are position sensitive and have amazing damping technology to ensure you are in control when off road. I really wish I could test these out for myself someday.
the rear is probably the most straight forward part with the 3 piece rear bumper and the blacked-out badging as well as all your tow accessory inputs. You also have your dual blacked out tipped trd exhaust system which sounds great as you will hear in the cold start in a bit.
Going in side this truck you have a TON of room. The trd embossed leather seats are supple and comfortable but not as luxurious as the 1794 edition but that’s not the point of this truck.
One quirk I noticed was how the front seats on this car do not have grab handles to help getting in and while this doesn’t have a step and because I'm short, it did make it difficult to get in. but for some reason, they have it on the rear seats which I cannot explain.
The interior is mostly standard Tacoma but you do have your 4wd selector which ill talk about more in the drive. New for 2020 is the 8inch entune system with apple car play and android auto and its hooked up to the 12 speaker jbl system. The gauge cluster is easy to read and you have a multi information display in the middle.

The center consol which has the trd logo has a huge opening but I wish I saw more compartments to organize things instead of just a huge opening. Overall, though the fit and finish hear is great with the leather panels and read accented stitching.
In terms of safety I think this is the only car that hasn’t received the full Toyota sense 2.0 suite but it does come with all the safety sense 1.0 equipment with precollision, dynamic cruise control, auto high beams, Blind spot monitoring, and lane departure.
Other than that there is a sunroof and the rear seats have tons of legroom as well as vents. But that’s prtty much it.
If you are enjoying the content so far please smash that like button and subscribe to the channel. I do plan to do more tundra coverage in the future as this is one of many trims that are offered so please sound off in the comments section what you would like to see next. With that said lets start it up and take it on a drive.
