Exterior
Walking around the outside I want to start out with the two tone color options on this car has. It is offered in every color option except the midnight black understandbly and theaqua mica which is a very dark navy blue. I think it’s a perfect fit in this specific Blizzard pearl.
Ok moving to the front the facia is aggressive and modern and I think there is a lot of opportunity here to put an even more aggressive sportier trim (TRD of GR potentially) if Toyota decides to in the future. The stock LED lights are well suited for this car and there are options for adaptive front lights as well.
Going on to the side you see immediately notice the 18 in machined alloy rims. They do come stock with sportier tires but they track focused by any means. In terms of suspension you have
Macpheron front struts and Trailing wishbone rear suspension which will get a feel for during the drive.
Ok now for the rear which is by far my favorite part of the car. I am so happy to see a hatch and I think they nailed the looks here. The deck lid spoiler is tasteful, they rear taillights have a cool design. BUT the one thing that really threw me off was the chrome rectangles at the bottom. I am not even going to call them fake exhausts cause I know that’s what they are trying to be and it just really bothers me. The contrasting color rear bumper is fine but if they at least had round exhaust tips. Single or dual I woulda been satisfied. At the end of the day its not gonna make a difference but this is an area for Toyota to improve the design in the future.
Intrior
Ok stepping inside you are met with the leather seats that have fabric inserts. I think they feel great and match the exterior color combination really well in this case. The leather wrapped steering wheel feels great and I actually like smaller diameter steering wheels like these. You do have the 8 in entune infotainment system which I have done a full walkthrough linked below in the description. Since this is the xse it does come standard with the 7 in tft display which changes color depending on ur driving mode as well provides you with a ton of trip information.
Overall the fit and finish with the trim is great and it feels very room in the front. In terms of the rear the leg room is noticed and I can just barely sit behind myself and im 5’8” so take note of that if u r going to be driving with taller people. Other than that the rear is pretty lacking in features.
Tech
Lastly in terms of safet features this comes standard with Toyota safety send 2.0 which has a full suite of features such as lane keep assist full speed adaptive cruise control and road sign assist.
