2024 F1 ABU DHABI GP race analysis by Peter Windsor
2,106McLaren-Mercedes duly clinched the 2024 FIA F1 Constructors' Championship in Abu Dhabi, with Lando Norris brilliantly heading the two Ferraris of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc (who had started from the back of the grid) across the line. McLaren's other driver, Oscar Piastri, finished only P10 after a first-corner skirmish with Red Bull's Max Verstappen (who finished sixth), while Mercedes placed P4/P5, Sir Lewis Hamilton ahead of George Russell (after a strong recovery drive on Medium Pirellis).
