More than 400 soldiers from 26 Regiment Royal Artillery have returned home to their barracks in Gutersloh.

The troops were deployed to Afghanistan as part of the Joint Fires Group.

They were spread across 47 different locations in Helmand Province.

Duties included mentoring the Afghan forces, providing fire support to troops on the ground and targeting insurgents.
