The Army's new cricket team captain has been outlining his hopes ahead of the 2012 season.

Lieutenant James Hudson will skipper the side and the former Somerset batsman is determined to lead the Army to silverware this summer.

The squad have admitted to underperforming in recent years. This summer they will be targeting success in the Inter Services Championship and the Twenty 20 tournament at Lords as well as developing future talent.

The Army will play county sides this summer, including Hampshire, Derbyshire and Kent and travel to Lords in June where they hope to catch their forces opponents out in the Twenty 20.
