Oh I'm so glad it's finished!
First of all as I've announced - this time it's a guitar video. I wanted it to be packed with cool things! So here it is. :)
But the production wasn't so nice...
It was hell… The song itself was pretty easy to master (for me) because I've been playing with these techniques for the last 15 years. So the writing and learning process took about 3 days. The hardest part was picking a right tone with my dirt-cheap amp (this took another day), and mixing the whole thing (took 2 days of real PAIN). I wanted the guitar to be as clean as possible (it was hard because my amp was constantly distorting the high register) and the beat to be a bit retro (well... I tried!). I think in the end it's kinda cool and the whole process paid off but believe me, yesterday I was so annoyed by it I wanted to drop this whole project.

Oh and about the 27 techniques:

Slide Down - You know the drill

Single Note - They can be a pain when picking the guitar for the first time.

Boy Scout Chord - It's just a simple version of every chord. It's the first thing most of us learn.

Hybrid Picking - for those who don't know - playing with your pick and fingers.

Hammer-on/Pull-off - Playing notes without using the pick, hitting or releasing the string with your fretting hand.

Natural Harmonics - Place your finger gently over the 12th, 7th and 5th fret and voila!

Slide Up - Can be much harder then going down because most of the time you need to end on a specific note/chord.

Bend - The first bend is half-step and the second one is whole-step. It's a technique worth mastering or at least playing in tune.

Legato Run - Everything that's combining Hammer-ons and Pull-offs with some fast licks and changing strings. Can be tricky most of the time.

Sweep Picking - Kinda fast on the list, but for many guitar players the "Holy Grail Of Guitar Techniques". Moving your hand up or down with a sweeping motion to achieve speed and precision while playing arpeggios. Kinda pointless in the long run, but can be a head turner when used correctly.

Alternate Picking - This technique is the easiest to learn and hardest to master. You can always play better, faster and more precise... The possibilities here are endless.

Tapped Harmonic - You tap the octave of the fretting hand note on the same string. As simple as that, but can make some cool sounds (Intro to Spanish Fly?).

Chicken Picking - I'm referring to banjo roll type playing - pick + 2 fingers. It's like the second form of hybrid picking. Kinda hard, but pays off in the end.

Tapping 2-Fingers - It's like combining hybrid picking with tapping.

Open Chord - Using chords this way is always a bit tricky but instantly changes your sound to pro. It's about playing some parts of a normal chord, but letting the rest of the strings ring. You can play for your whole life and still find another one by mistake.

Palm Mute - Everyone who plays metal doesn't need to hear this explanation.

Sweep Tapping - It's just a show off version of sweep picking. Again, it's mostly pointless but when used correctly can turn some heads.

Tap Bend - You bend the tapped noted with both your left and right hand. As simple as that, lol.

String Skipping - While playing an arpeggio you skip a string to play a lower note. It's like sweep picking for legato players with long fingers.

Volume Swell - Using your Volume Knob with your small finger to get a fade in effect.

Wtf Tapping - Which means every type of tapping lick that needs some strange synchronization (see: Bumblefoot)

Slap - Slap and Pop, Clang whatever. Playing with you thumb - bass like style. Sometimes sounds cool, especially when you have a better amp then mine.

Hammer-on From Nowhere - It's pretty hard to play correctly. You just have to press your note with the fretting hand.

Full Tapping - Tapping with both left and right hand. Used mostly by finger style players (which I'm not).

Spider Run - I'm imagining small spider legs running across the wall just like the palm muted legato notes run across the fretboard.

To be fair I probably didn't use Economy Picking (you can maybe count the first sweep in the economy picking territory but it's still not it). I didn't also use many fingerstyle stuff, because I prefer hybrid picking over it. I didn't add vibrato on the list because there was no space left... So yeah you can count that in.
