2This is a devious game, it makes you think it's nice and static, but then you keep playing and notice that something is amiss, and the more you play, the more you realise that the game is actually kind of a mess.
Here you've got 10 selectable ships (also 2 hidden ones), this one is the strongest I think. There's also an ammo system -- if you keep shooting at max power, you'll eventually go down one power level, so you gotta ration your shots and time your power pick-ups to remain at max power for longer.
After stages 1, 4, 7, a blue ship flies in. It doesn't do anything, but you get to pick your route afterwards by shooting down its wings in a specific order.
Ramming into stuff replenishes your bombs (at the cost of a life) and deals a lot of damage to enemies, so I do it a couple of times.
Speaking of bombs, the more bombs you have, the harder the game gets, though that feature is weird??? I don't exactly get it.
Total play time: 11 hours, 20 minutes.
