14,235Here are three more uses of the infamous Konami Code. These instances of the Konami Code are pretty useless, but I think they're kinda funny.
In Gradius III for the SNES, if you pause your game and input the Konami Code (up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A) then unpause, your ship will explode. Like... you'll just die. Alternatively, if you replace the Left and Right inputs with the L and R shoulder buttons respectively (in other words, you input up, up, down, down, L, R, L, R, B, A) you will instead gain a bunch of powerups. But that is far too useful.
In Kid Dracula for the NES (also known as Akumajō Special: Boku Dracula-kun for the Famicom) if you use the Konami Code on the title screen, you'll hear a sound effect to confirm you've entered the code properly. Then when you hit Start to begin the game, the message "SORRY! NOTHING THIS TIME!" will appear on the screen. Footage from this game was taken from the Castlevania Anniversary Collection on Nintendo Switch.
In International Superstar Soccer Deluxe for the SNES, if you enter the Konami Code on the title screen with controller number 2, you will hear a dog barking. Then when you start a match, the referee will be replaced with an adorable dog. This is great and you should try it.
