You could easily name any game in the PS1 Resident Evil trilogy as the best and have plenty of valid arguments for your choice. For me, its RE3, as the game offers many different locations to explore within Raccoon City, including many streets, bars and restaurants, the police station (again), a hospital, park, cemetery, a clock-tower and much more ! Its more action packed, while keeping the solving puzzles element too, so its very much still the classic formula, but with improved pacing !

The best new feature however, is the ruthless Nemesis monster, who will send you into a state of panic whenever he appears ! The game was remade on PS4, but unlike the excellent RE2 remake, it was a disappointment, as many areas were cut out and the Nemesis was way too scripted ! If you want to enjoy RE3, the original on emulator is by far the best option ! A legendary game !
