10. Final Fantasy IX - PS1 (Duckstation)

This Final Fantasy episode goes back the series's medieval roots, instead of the more modern settings of VII and VIII. Fans are divided as to which was the best episode on PS1, but personally I much preferred VII. That's not to say that this game isn't also a masterpiece ! It features stunning graphics, great characters and a pretty good story from start to finish, with its fair share of surprises ! However, for me its best quality is the turn based combat system, which can often lead to some pretty nail biting confrontations, specially against the numerous bosses ! The game's ending is also one of the most beautiful endings I've ever seen in a videogame ! This is obviously a must-have classic !
