Any true Resident Evil fan knows about this game ! It was the first build of Resident Evil 2 before it was scraped by Capcom around 80% complete, to start from scratch to make the Resident Evil 2 we all know and love ! However, this version of Resident Evil 2 has fascinated fans, including myself, for many, many years, because essentially, it was a classic style Resident Evil we never got to play ! Well until a 70% complete version was leaked to the internet !

In terms of graphics, the game looks a lot like more like RE1 and I like the more modern and creepy design of the police station. I also really like the character Elza Walker we never go to play. RE 1.5 also had enemies that didn't make it to the final game, such as german sheperds, gorillas and a half human half spider creatures !

While the game is basically playable to the end boss, it is very much broken, with many graphical glitches, absent cutscenes, voices and animations. Fans have been hard at work to restore the game as much as possible, and the game receives regular updates, however, it is still very far from a finished product. I am quite confident that one day fans will make it into a fully functional game, but I really wish Capcom would just finish it once and for all, considering its cult status and how important it is to fans !
