Playing as an ant that is tasked with leading an ever-growing colony and building nests, infrastructure and militant legions wasn’t on my bingo card for games in 2024 but Empire of the Ants is a very pleasant surprise. Guiding my colony, conquering enemy bug forces and building new settlements is more fun than it has any right to be.
