Strife and Ruin and Wounds of Eventide DLCs are the last two free major updates made by the developer Game Kitchen in order to finalize the Blasphemous game. In Strife and Ruin, it introduced new side contents which includes the retro 8-bit section called Grief of Alcazar which can be found hidden in-game as well as the platforming challenges which features the Miriam, the protagonist of the Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, who will guide you in the challenges. Finally, the last content given by the Strife and Ruin update is the Sacred Sorrows which is just a boss gauntlet challenge of the game.

On the other hand, the Wounds of Eventide DLC introduces new updates which affect the central story of the game. In here, the developers added the third and true ending of the game which will be followed on their upcoming sequel. New content made by the DLC are two new bosses which are Sierpes, a large serpent which can be encountered in a newly added area called Mourning and Havoc and Isidora, Voice of the Dead, which can only be fought by having a particular set of collectibles. More on the content are more major quest updates on npcs including Perpetva, Esdras, Crisanta and Escribar as well as new added boss phases on the last two characters.
