3D printed bottle opener to open my Mexican Coca-Cola bottle - Ultimaker 3D Printer
3,888I just wanted to have a soda so I grabbed a refreshing coca-cola out of my Man Cave fridge only to find out it didn't have a twist top. Damn you mexico for not having twist tops on your coca-cola's from Costco warehouse! Anyways I couldn't find a bottle opener so I decided to just print one on my Ultimaker 3D printer. It was simple as picking one of the various bottle cap openers on Thingiverse.com and throwing it on a SD card. I was impatient since I was thirsty so I also jacked the print speed up to 350% and roughly 250mm/sec. I'm surprised smoke didn't start coming off it but man did it really shine. The print came out perfect and worked like a charm and only took 15 minutes from start to finish to complete with a layer height of 0.2mm and 100% infill.

The Ultimaker is one of the best 3D printers out there and this video shows just how crazy fast it can be. The layer height was set to 0.2mm and the speed was 250mm a second.
