There are a lot of different types of relays, please do your research before using one. I am not even close to being an expert in electronics, so use the information I present here at your own risk.

I hope I didn't ramble too much, and that I was able to get across the basic information on how the relay I've chosen to use works and how it should be wired to prevent any regeneration current from the foot drive motors damaging the Sabertooth motor controller.
