I made some progress on the dome rings and motor frame. I don't go into much detail about it, as Jason Charlton's build log on Astromech.net has great pictures and explanations of what I did. We both have Granite Earth lazy susans, so the process was the same for both of us.

I was able to mount all the rings and a dome to the assembled body for the first time! Still loads of work to do but progress is being made.
