0The International 2-way player of the Red Sox starts off an Postseason game for the first time as an Ace, as he faces his division rivals, the Toronto Blue Jays.
Even this is 1st Postseason encounter between the division rivals, the Toronto Blue Jays have not had as much time to rack up championships as the Boston Red Sox, and so the head-to-head comparison is a little bit skewed. At one point, they claimed championships and pennants, when their International player joined the team back in Season 3 of the Show. However, there were differences between him and the team because they didn't give him the position that he requested.
He began as an outfielder, but switched to an 1B, in order to get to the Show. Then, he got traded and regained his original position. Now, fast forward two seasons later, he's an 2-way player, where he can not only be an outfielder, but also be an starting pitcher. Even though there's mutual respect between them now, he looks forward to facing off against his former teammates
