Well, I do that *after* I abort my first attempt with V.Rosso because the game reverts to "Progressive" controls every time you run it (whyyyy) and I wasn't paying attention. ; P

* Come to think of it, I don't think I've faced Area or Terry in Arcade Mode, either. V.Rosso, Pullum, Sharon, and Area are the four characters released as freel DLC, and Terry is paid DLC. Hm can't remember if I've encountered V.Rosso--but I just did meet up against Pullum and Sharon. Oh well maybe I'll run into Area, Sanane, and Hayate eventually--maybe even Terry??
Why do Hokuto and Shirase look so similar? Er eh okay apparently "Shirase" was Hokuto's childhood name, and in this game is actually Hokuto under some sort of post-hypnotic suggestion (known in the Street Fighter EX games as "Bloody Hokuto") to kill Kairi: https://streetfighter.fandom.com/wiki/Hokuto

I got to like V.Rosso okay, even though I can't really do his counter moves. :P That thing where he throws his really slow, short range fireball (qcb+P), then dashes forward and throws seems possibly exploitable against the Normal difficulty AI.
Shirase aLSO has counter moves (argh) and eh I had more trouble with her, not being able to combo into her supers as well as I could with V.Rosso. Well, actually *too* well with her qcf,qcf+P super, because I kept triggering that accidentally while just meaning to do qcf,gcf+P,P or whatever.
