It's Christmas Eve, and i'm playing a couple of appropriately festive games. In THE CRUEL ONE by Sky High Games, an evil green creature steals your presents, and you have to try to get them back. Except it may be a trap, one that leaves you running and sneaking for your life. I'm not saying it's the Grinch. Wait, yes I am, that is SO the Grinch. I love the part where you see him running across a snowy ridge.

I'm not very good at this kind of stealth, and I think my biggest issue is that the game was TOO dark, at least for me. I spent so much time running and getting caught, at which all the switches would reset. The end has you tumbling blindly through dark tunnels in a chase squence. I think I was close to the end, but I wasn't able to finish it. Also, there's one part where the FPS drops to like five.

I try THE CRUEL ONE 2, which seems like an improvement with a cool setup at Santa's workshop. Unfortunately, this one soon slows to just a few frames per second and says there. I give up. Grateful to the developer for making them free for Christmas, though.

Not wanting ot end stream on a low point, I play TORNUKTU by Jonny's Games, and I'm glad I did. This short Christmas horror game is AMAZING. Particularly creepy with a neat monster that was made up for the game but feels like a real legend. Highly recommended. Merry Christmas to all, and may Santa visit you even if you lie awake in terror.
