Hey guys, bill here… it never ceases to amaze me how many crazy creature pictures you guys send me. From bizarre cats with fish mouths to blinged out ants… here are 5 of my recent favorites

Number 1 is wild looking frog sent in by H and A Nonsence… I thought it was a balloon when I first saw it, but actually, it’s real. It’s called a desert rain frog. Laven Ayala was the first one on my facebook to identify it. It us usually found on the beaches of Namibia and South Africa.

Number 2 is this black and white number. sent in by Fleming Games who just wants to know if it is real or not. Fleming it’s real. It’s called the Panda Ant. First discovered in 1938, these dangerous creatures are actually wasps and are also known as “cow killers” because of their powerful sting! They can be found in the Americas from Southern United States to Chile.

Next we have this crazy looking cat sent in by Wellington Meadows. Wellington, this is what we call 200% fake. This is a real catfish. This is somebody’s photoshop class project. It was first published on a Chinese website in 2008, but the creator is unknown. Here is the shark that the mouth and teeth were copied from. And here is another version called… WTF????

Number 4 is this giant dog sent in by Dominic Lee. Dominic, I know it doesn’t look like it could be possibly real… it is real. It’s called a Tibetan Mastiff and while it may not be the biggest dog in the world, it could possibly be the most expensive. An 11-month old pup named Big Splash (“Hong Dong” in Chinese) was recently sold in the China for 10 million yuan — about $1.5 million in U.S. dollars.

Our final crazy creature today, is this super scary looking owl sent in by Ruby Farrel. Ruby if you ever see something like this outside your window, run to your nearest computer and go to Worth1000.com. Because it is there you will see it’s just part of a photoshop contest and nothing more than a big fat fake.
