Is Escape From Tarkov the real Russia 2028? I have 5 Reasons Escape From Tarkov Is Russia 2028. (Partially printed below)
5. Cry Engine Slip Up
5 years ago, footage was released by Nikita Buyanov also known as trainfender, showing a cool new game called Russia 2028 developed with cryengine 2. It was an open world survival game set SOMEWHERE in Russia, with maps that look awfully familiar now that we've seen footage of Escape from tarkov.

Now here's the thing about that. In a previous video, I showed the announcement trailer and gave some info on the game, which was taken from a translated interview. I then received numerous comments telling me, "It's not cryengine 2 you idiot, it's Unity 5.." So was this the mistake of the person who wrote the article? Or was it an accidental slip on the part of the developers? On to number 4

4. Open World Survival
As i mentioned, this open world survival game seems awfully familiar.
In the footage from 5 years ago, as well as the footage from 3 years ago, we see what looks like your character taking opponents on near what look to be bases, or compounds. One room in particular now stood out to me, because it looked exactly like another room we recently saw in the Escape From Tarkov trailer. To those of us familiar with their sister company Absolutsoft, you will see resources from their browser based FPS called contract Wars. Not to mention, the plot we were given for Russia 2028 is pretty much identical to the one in Tarkov. One scene shows what seems to be guards at a post. Are they guards trying to keep people from leaving Tarkov? Or maybe, they are the opponents we face in raids? Among the different locales presented to you, the forest peaked my interest, and made me all the more suspicious. In the recent inventory & looting video, the avatar is seen walking through and out of a forest that made me immediately think of the Russia 2028 footage. Is it possible that they share resources, and level design? Yes of course. But as you will see in the end, just these 5 things alone increase the probability of my theory. muahahahaha!

3. Gameplay Mechanics
Why is this important? Well, aside from the storyline, resources, and visuals, it begs the question; why release Tarkov, then release Russia 2028 if they are almost identical. Neither has a hud, so the realism, and sheer hardcore is there. And most of all, why make two games that similar? Even if this were a sequel, it would be a boring sequel for the sheer similarity. Bullet mechanics, and movement are incidental I guess, but it's too fishy to me

2. Maths
The original Russia 2028 pre-alpha footage was released 5 years ago, in December of 2010. The next bit of footage was released in May of 2012. As we see in the video, that footage was a year old, which would make it footage from 2011. So, everything is still adding up so far. This is significant to me, in light of something said by Battlestate Games in a recent interview...
