My job today is to give you my very best 5 reasons why people should look forward to the vanilla wow summer release, in it's classic form. The game that hooked tens of millions and the game that is still able to generate hype and bring people together after 15 years. The purpose of the video is to awake that inner thirst for great games and to wash away all the stuff... modern games are trying to sell now days. And ultimately by the end of the video, Hopefully, you'll reach the same conclusion as I do. Classic WoW is the best thing that will happen to PC gaming in years.

The Magic of Vanilla WoW.

Even though this vanilla magic seems to be a cliche, it does not make it any less true. World of Warcraft wasn't just another MMO. It was a game that crashed onto the scene and immediately captured the hearts and attention of countless players. The game sold over 240,000 copies in its first 24 hours - more than any other PC game in history at the time , far more than Blizzard expected. The original 40 servers filled up almost immediately with players, while still more people waited impatiently to log on and experience Azeroth for themselves. It required immediate addition of new servers in order to handle the demand - a problem, yes, but a delightful problem to have.

Community.

In vanilla this was not a problem, the community was a breath of fresh air. Servers played together, grouped together, and later in vanilla's time-line, even worked together on a common goal, opening the gates of Ahn'Qiraj. There was a sense of self-policing back then; players who stole loot were quickly called out on the forums and in game channels, which prevented them from getting away with that kind of behavior again.
But beyond that, there was a sense of friendship, even between players of opposing factions. Server communities were bound together. Players on the server knew each other by reputation, and even when you were killing each other, there was still that moment of recognition across the battlefield. It was a living, breathing community of various personalities all tied together for one common reason - a love of Warcraft and a love of engaging game-play.

Loot boxes + Microtransactions.

Frost, But Classic wow does not have any of these. Exactly! I'm on old-school believer that buy to play, subscription model is one of the best monetizing system for growth and longevity in an MMO. World of warcraft grew and flourished under this system and why it's true that some other companies tried this model and failed, my guess is that they failed because the game wasn't good enough and not because of the monetizing system.
On the other hand free to play MMO's with lootboxes and microtransactions had a couple of games with potential for the subscription based model, but those games failed due to the greed of developers and publishers. I'm pretty sure, most of you can name at least 3 games that died due to the most bad phrase in the gaming community, PAY2WIN.

Meeting with old friends or Making new ones.

It's no secret that world of worcraft brought lots of people together, from different backgrounds and nationalities like we previously stated in our community topic. People that made long-lasting friendships during the time they played the game, some of which lasted even after the world of worcraft chapter closed in their life. I'm pretty sure most of you still keep in touch with people that used the play the game and some of you are familiar with at least one situation where world of worcraft human encounters resulted in marriage.
With the release of vanilla in it's classic form the opportunity to make new friends and maybe long-lasting friendships will rise to surface again. Of course there will be people that because of the same release will do the opposite and ruin their current collection of friends. Remember, take everything in moderation and keep what's important to you close.
