I love Pathfinder 2e and think it has the best rules of any high-fantasy TTRPG, but there are a few rules I can't abide! See my house rules.

CORRECTION: Thanks to rylandrc for finding this rule which saves the hapless bird companion under #5: ""If given no commands, minions use no actions except to defend themselves or to escape obvious harm." So the bird would Fly in place (if falling would damage it and leave it prone)
