5 Strange Fallout Locations
Fallout is known for many things; incredible worlds to explore, interesting characters, and a plethora of weapons. Fallout is also known for having some locales that are, well, strange to put it nicely. However, some locations go beyond just being out-of-the-ordinary. That’s why i’m here. In this video, i’ll be going over 5 Strange Fallout Locations.

5 Strange Fallout Locations (in text form):
5. Sierra Madre. Sierra Madre is more than just the Sierra Madre Casino, it’s the entire setting of Fallout New Vegas’s Dead Money DLC, and everything about it is just weird. First and foremost there’s the thick, red cloud of smoke all throughout Sierra Madre. Like a surprising amount of things in Fallout, the cloud was created by scientists at Big MT as a way to force workers to test their new Auto-docs. Hazmat suits were created for the workers, which corroded after exposure to the cloud, trapping the workers inside, turning them into the Ghost People. The Sierra Madre Casino itself was constructed as a fortress of sorts, by Frederick Sinclair, who hoped shelter his wife inside to protect her from the looming threat of the Great War.
3. Tranquility Lane. This is kind of an obvious choice. Tranquility Lane is a simulation inside Vault 112, and was the vault’s experiment. It was created by Dr Stanislaus Braun, a narcissistic psychopath who willfully trapped himself, and his fellow vault dwellers, inside the simulation. In the simulation, Braun takes on the form of Betty, a young girl who happens to be a gigantic cunt (bleep it), much like Braun. Being in black and white, Tranquility Lane is a sadistic take on the classic 1950’s family, where everyone on the block are friends, kids all play together, white picket fences, a suburban paradise, Really though, it’s Braun’s personal playpen, where he can do as he pleases to everyone, forever. He’s essentially a god on Tranquility Lane. There is a failsafe, much like the button on Lost, to end it all. The Communists finally win and the Chinese invade Tranquility Lane, killing everyone except for Dr Braun, who is trapped inside the simulation, forever.
2. Necropolis. Necropolis is a town in southern California, formerly Bakersfield, that is home to a large number of ghouls as well as Vault 112. In Greek, Necropolis means “City of the Dead”. The fact that it’s a city of ghouls isn’t inherently strange, after all, there are a number of ghoul cities throughout Fallout. Some of the ghouls in Necropolis are the original inhabitants of Vault 112, as the its experiment was that the vault door never completely shut, exposing everyone to radiation. The Ghouls of Necropolis aren’t very fond of outsiders. Most people try to avoid the city at all costs, and only travel in daylight if they must pass through it. Everyone who tries to live in the city is exposed to radiation, which kills them or turns them into a ghoul, or they simply disappear.
Honorable Mention:
The Ultra-Lux casino in Fallout New Vegas. Everything about it is just weird. The members of the white glove society, who run the casino, wear strange looking white masks, which, according to Rotface is because they used to be an all-ghoul gang. And of course there’s that whole cannibal thing.
1. The Dunwich Building. Most Fallout fans know about the Dunwich building, and have less than fond memories of stumbling onto it for the first time. From the outside, it just looks like one of many office buildings that can be found in Fallout 3’s Capital Wasteland. But inside, it’s worse than almost anything else in the wasteland. When you first enter the building, it seems pretty par for the course as far as buildings go. There’s ghouls, doors, and loot. The longer you spend inside and the deeper you go, the stranger things get. The Dunwich Building has some supernatural elements to it, unlike anything else in the Capital Wasteland. You’ll hear voices echo through the walls as you walk through them. You’ll see flashbacks to give you a glimpse at what happened to the people who worked there. You can even find audio logs which detail a man’s descent into madness as he became a ghoul.
