It's time to finish up our catching in the Ruins. With the added Agility, most fights will be easier and others downright impossible without it.

The Wraith is absolutely terrifying. It knows Death and Doom, both with an infinite % infliction rate. In order to survive both, you need Ribbon + Deathproof or Reflect. We have both, just not on the same armor. So basically, your best bet is to equip Reflect and pray you can capture it before your 5 turns are over. Don't bother targetting with Elemental Strikes, just wail on it with the Spirit Lance since it's Defense is a whopping 150. First Strike is also very nice to give that extra turn. Technically speaking, having Deathproof might even be better so it won't accidentally hurt or even heal itself with the Elemental spells.

Master Coeurls can be quite dangerous. Once they fall below 50% HP, they will start using Blaster 33% of the time, which always inflicts Death and pierces even Deathproof. So what you will want to do is slow them down, Scan them, then manipulate your Ticks to get 3-4 turns in a row. Magic Counter can give you one extra turn if they use Blizzaga, but be careful. It helps to get rid of the Floating Death as well.

You can't capture the Defender Z's, but I figured I'd show what to do against them. With Def+15%, you will always survive Haymaker under Protect and if you Defend, it's even easier. You can best just use Doom on them since they have a ton of HP. Use the Spirit Lance to charge your OD bar faster, then wait until they fall. :)

The Black Elements are fairly tough with their huge Defense stat of 240 and ability to cast both Demi and Flare. Two castings of Ultima does about 6.3K so if you then equip Capture + Magic Counter, you 'll get them in about 10~ hits. The problem with using the Spirit Lance to bypass their Defense is that a crit after a regular hit most definitely kills them which means you can't capture them. And you have to be lucky to encounter them in the first place... The other issue is that Flare does about 1700 damage so if a Spirit has a turn before a Black Element and it hits you, you counter and they counter that hit with Poison Mist, a Flare from the Element will take you out. Be really careful about your turns.

I did not encounter a Great Malboro this time around, but the fight is fairly easier with Mighty Guard up. The Firestrike weapon we made for Sin is great to beat it down fast.

In this challenge I am only allowed to use Kimahri during the game. The other party members will either have to KO themselves or try to run away as soon as possible. When Kimahri is not available in the party, the party must follow NSGNSNENNE rules (No Sphere Grid + No Summons + No Escape + No [No Encounters]). While I am allowing Customizing (the challenge would not be possible otherwise), I am placing certain 'limits' on myself. For example, I won't Customize First Strike or Evade & Counter unless it's absolutely mandatory to get through the fight(s). Combined with the No Escape rules, that should make for an interesting run!

Abbreviations:
OSG = Own Sphere Grid
KO = Kimahri Only
NE = No Escape
NNE = No [No Encounters]
