3This is it! The final (real) battle! But first, some preparations.
I finally customized HP+30% on my final armor. While I made the mistake of giving Kimahri max HP, which made Sanctuary Keeper so much harder, I'm glad I stuck with it, because my final armor would have had Mag. Def+10% instead of HP+30%. And that's a huge deal! I would have to use a second armor for this fight to take all of BFA's Overdrives, which deal a LOT of damage. That means armor swapping on the right turn and healing up before the attack. I'm guessing something among the lines of SOS Haste, HP+30%, Zombieproof?
Removing all Spheres we don't need by using the Clear Spheres bought from the Monster Arena after acquiring 5 of every Fiend in Spira allows us to add 8 HP spheres, bringing Kimahri's HP up to 6557 HP. I also added a bunch more Agility Spheres and replacing the ones that aren't 4 to reach 62 Agility, reaching a new Tick Speed rank!
Using Jinx to increase our critrate by a little and setting up Scan and Mighty Guard means we're very safe for anything BFA can throw at us. Now it's just a slog to whittle down it's HP.
And with that, I have effectively won the challenge! Only Yu Yevon is left, which is whatever. I am still planning on defeating Omega Weapon, but that guy is super difficult, so we'll see! Enjoy!
In this challenge I am only allowed to use Kimahri during the game. The other party members will either have to KO themselves or try to run away as soon as possible. When Kimahri is not available in the party, the party must follow NSGNSNENNE rules (No Sphere Grid + No Summons + No Escape + No [No Encounters]). While I am allowing Customizing (the challenge would not be possible otherwise), I am placing certain 'limits' on myself. For example, I won't Customize First Strike or Evade & Counter unless it's absolutely mandatory to get through the fight(s). Combined with the No Escape rules, that should make for an interesting run!
