After one week since the games release, Ori and the WIll of the Wisps has exploded in activity in the speedrunning scene. There are many incredible glitches, sequence breaks, tech/mechanics, and a great lineup of hard working people digging deep into the core aspects of the game. This is the first category I ended up starting to run, except with an added constraint of not being able to travel out of bounds, which adds in an additional 25+ minutes of additional gameplay that I fiercely enjoy. I routed the majority of the run myself and then incorporated a few incredible sequence breaks found by other people in the community.

I chose to run Normal difficulty over Easy for a few reasons:
-Boss battles last longer requiring me to stay on my toes for longer
-You take more damage, making fights and certain areas more tense
-All shards/abilities cost double, including upgrade costs. This makes routing spirit light much more involved.
-There is a poison swim sequence break that is impossible on Normal difficulty while staying in bounds, so more content is added to the run.

Most likely next up for me will be routing some category that is even more involved, such as all trees, all wisps, or doing a category that involves both of these objectives. This brings in more boss fights, every area on the map, and a fun boost of the abilities/shards I get to use throughout the run! I will definitely stick with normal difficulty, because the added constraints and challenge have made the game very fun for me, very excited to see what happens next!
