The original Quake game was ported by Titanium Studios in 2000, but was sadly not released to the public. Indeed, this fully functional version was a proof of concept that was created to attract the attention of publishers, but amazingly, despite the game's huge popularity on PC, it did not result in a published game ! This version of the game is now available on the internet to play in emulation !

The game had first been released by Id Software in 1996, after their hugely popular Doom games. This time the levels and enemies were in full 3D and the player could look up and down, making the gameplay even more explosive ! I am a huge fan of its totally hardcore gameplay. Its great having this utter classic in the Dreamcast library !
