7 Wonders of the Ancient World Let's Play Part 12 FINALE - The Last Wonder is a Lighthouse?
Having completed the Lighthouse of Alexandria that finishes my playthrough of this game. I will admit that I have a bias against these games from the get-go, but if they're made well I can play through and enjoy them. This game avoids too many mistakes or issues, but I didn't find it so well done that I was fully invested and enjoying the game all the way through. I'm happy to have finished my playthrough. There are subsequent playthroughs that'd be possible, with an increase in difficulty to go with it, but I don't have that interest in the game to go forward with that. That'd be a nice touch if this was one of the few games you had or liked, yet when you have so many games to get through, it doesn't appeal or mean anything.
One other thing that disappoints me about the game is that as you play the stages, it's clear (at least to me) that you're actually building all of the ancient wonders. However, the storyline suggests you're merely visiting all of them on some sort of road trip. It would have felt more impressive and immersive/consistent, if you were a grand architect creating these works, instead of merely taking a gander at all of them. Just a lost opportunity on their part, I suppose. And yes, it may have been cheesy, but at least it'd be more grand than what you wound up doing.
