A playthrough of the hidden character Lee in the arcade version of Namco's Tekken Tag Tournament 1.

Lee returns, and rightly so because goddamn is he good here. This is where Lee really starts to come into his own moveset-wise. He still utilises quite a few of Law's moves (and that won't change, considering his name is Lee after all), but he is really starting to come into his own here. His still has his infinite Laser Edge kicks (which we last saw utilised by Ogre, both in Tekken 3 and here), but he also gains a fantastic counter-attack (uf+3+4), as well as his Hitman Stance (3+4). In his Hitman Stance he can use a variety of moves, but my absolute favourite is the 3+4 attack, where he grabs the opponent into a throw for some considerable damage. It looks really flashy too, which is always a nice touch. These new moves really help to make Lee feel more defined here. He's always been a character I liked, but here we can really start to see him coming into his own, which is a great thing to see after 4 games into the series. Overall, this playthrough went pretty well...until I hit Unknown, who is always a snag in this version, and a real "quarter-muncher", as they say. Trying to get those last few hits on her is always a bitch, in particular, and like many of the playthroughs I just timed her out in order to win. Cheap, I know, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

So, Lee really starts to take shape as a character here, and we'll see his playstyle evolve even further when we get to Tekken 4.
