A great example of time efficiently invested into the game's core mechanics while not caring so much about the aesthetics. And it really does get the job done in that regard! I suspect that there are some obvious choices when it comes to picking items, but the balance appears to have been crafted as so to make those choices very difficult to ascertain and not really be that significant anyway.
