2022-01-01. Trying the time attack mode, instead of the career mode.

This is supposed to be a new version of OutRun. Is it?

Pros:
- the graphics are very cool, the environments could really suck you into the game, aside from some backgrounds that are out of place (however the track/road design is so boring -- see below --- you never engage with it; this is a huge miss since this is one thing the game truly has going for itself)
- many, many roads/track levels.
- time attack is an attempt to get the OutRun feel (though it is improperly merged with the career mode, among other major issues)

Cons:
- the stages are long straight a-ways where you don't need to engage on the road, with some turns that are easily navigable with exception to 1 or 2 corners every stage or two, which always catches you by surprise, since you have no experience how to navigate corners.
- extra time is acquired by close encounters with other cars. This implies you need to get in close and deal with the terrible collision system.
- the gamepad controller HAS NO PROPORTIONAL CONTROL, so you cannot thread the needle avoiding cars as desired. It's just a gamble.
- the cars dart left and right with reckless abandon and are completely unpredictable.
- all off-road objects are placed less than a meter or a foot from the side of the road, so there's no option to ride the dirt even for a moment.
- the car lanes are not 2 cars wide, making the track less wide than you think it is. Another way to view it is that the car is too large.
- collisions with cars are not solid, so you inevitably collide with the same car multiple times, and then with a last ditch effort to gather the extra seconds then fails.
- the only way to get fast on this time attack track is to continue playing the career mode to make your car faster!
- after playing a very long run on time attack, I achieve exactly ZERO CASH for the result.
- I go back to career mode to make another effort there, and I have $0. All races require cash to join. So career mode is unplayable, and time attack mode gives no cash. Exactly how am I supposed to play the game?
