The loss deep in the first run was painful. But I knew Anakaris could zap me and I still let him--this was a prime example of a match-up I had trouble with with Rogue!--and he had Sakura and Cap as back-up; Sakura has really been going off on me lately and now I just can't even hit her, argh!
The boss match-up was interesting. Let his first form hit me wayyy too much; was having trouble jumping over him as Rogue and for some reason called assist Akuma who the got crushed too! But Iceman destroyed the second form easily--his qcf+LP Ice Beam does so much damage!--and--after some flailing about--Akuma's beam super cut the third form down to size pretty handily.
Akuma's air fireball super is really fun!
Rogue's natural combos feel great at first, then against tougher teams they just stop hitting--this was causing me some trouble. Aside from getting really good at cracking defenses with her, what seemed to work here was just bombarding the opponent relentlessly until they cracked a bit; oh and also getting a hit with her kiss super so she powers up, things went okay after that. So I guess I should try using that super more, even though it doesn't get any tick damage on block; her other one, the double-assist button one, is problematic anyway, what with not coming out when strikers are out and so forth--did they make it problematic on purpose?
