The big problem with the Heavy Echo soldiers isn't that they're durable, but that they wield carbines and you fight them in enclosed areas, which means that they're going to be spending most of their time hugging cover. Getting in their collective faces is a little tricky, too, since they can all use the carbine's charge shot and thus can knock you down to critical health in a half-second if you let them. It's one of those things where you should probably strive to abuse the Thumper as much as you possibly can. Even if you can't splat them against the ceiling, at least it gets them in the open for a couple seconds.

Speaking of, I could've sworn I used the Thumper *less* in this part.
