A few tips and tricks to improve performance on elementary OS

In this one, we'll go over a few tips and tricks to get just a little bit more performance out of your elementary OS system. These will not apply to everyone, and, of course, as with all system-affecting commands, try to be careful, and backup your data before messing around !

We'll start with preload, to improve application startup performance, then adjust swappiness to make sure that your system uses all the available RAM before starting to write stuff to the disk.
We'll remove unwanted apps and disable some of them that might start at boot, and finally, disable some unused system services (this is the part where you have to be very careful not to disable anything you don't know the use of !)
