Installing elementary OS 5.0 JUNO BETA on my machine
Since I like taking risks, I installed elementary OS 5.0 Juno on my machine, on a separate partition, dual booting with Loki. I'll walk you through the steps I had to take to do it !
Obviously, if you don't know what you're doing, do not try to follow these steps, you might delete stuff, break your system, lose data, or catch fire. As previously stated, this beta is not for everyday use, so don't try to install it if you're not comfortable with rescuing a system from a fatal error, a kernel panic, or any other terrible event.
Now it's installed, I'll run some benchmarks, tests, and update you on all updates and new stuff I'll find in the beta, until the final release !
Note: I've had the installer crash on me at some point, before installing GRUB. It might happen to you too. I just restarted from the live USB, and reinstalled Juno on the same partition, but without downloading updates, and with a complete format of the partition I was trying to install it on.
