This was my final project for the first semester of my Practicum of Audio/Visual Production class. We had to make a video that teaches about a specific tool for online learning. I chose Google Classroom.

Production on this video was an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. Writing the script took a long time because I couldn’t come up with something I was happy with. Then, after finishing the script, I had to record the green screen footage in my garage because it was the only place that had room for it. That’s why the audio has so much echo and reverb. Finally, I went way overboard with the editing. Obviously I spent a lot of time on the VHS look and filter, but I also spent so much time on little edits and effects that aren’t even completely noticeable thanks to the filter. I think I finally turned this in hours before the semester ended, and about a month after it was supposed to be turned in.

With all that said, this is still genuinely one of my favorite videos I’ve ever made. It’s such a stupid and bizzare video, but that makes it a lot of fun to rewatch. I’m also really proud of how the VHS effect turned out, and some of the little touches I did to try and make it authentic, like the custom background and the video flying in at the beginning. I considered this to be my magnum opus for a while, up until I released A Collection of Scrapped Flipnote Animations two years later.
