Star Vortex is a new entry into the top-down ARPG space shooter genre. It's based around exploring sectors filled with nodes representing different encounters. As you go, you'll find plenty of loot and level yourself up, gaining sweet new lasers and bigger ship classes. The ship building is the highlight here, with loads of options to build what you like; it makes flying your updated ships around very satisfying. Even though I'm not sure about some of the balance and the way enemies outpace you constantly, I still think this is an excellent start for the game, and I hope to see many updates to come.
