Ashes of Elrant is the new expansion for Chained Echoes, adding a new character to play and a whole new set of areas to explore. There are some great visuals in the new content, and the new music is fresh and jazzy. It's pretty substantial with 10-15 hours of new story to experience. It does amplify some of the problems with the base game, especially the issue of enemies having too much health. But, even though its flaws keep it from the heights of the game it expands on, it's still a worthwhile chunk of new stuff. The new areas are fun to wander around, and the new playable character and bosses are well-designed, even if they have way too much HP.
