ABOUT THIS VIDEO: Before I start, I want to be clear - this is NOT just a "beginner" mistake. Some of us old timers make it too.
There is a tendency to think you can just drape your Fook Sao over your partner's Bong/Tan arm, and that's all there is to it. However, that isn't true. It isn't just meant to lay there so you can take it easy on that side. No, that hand still needs to be ALIVE.
You must always maintain forward intention. Yes, the Fook Sao is a bit easier to do than the Bong/Tan motion, but that doesn't mean you are completely off the hook. Should your partner's Bong/Tan shit off-center, your Fook Sao should spring forward to strike!
