So what do they all have in common? They are all at Port Dension for the Dension Sprint and the Midwest Show n Shine 2023 Event, that what.

So lets kick it off with Morrey's 1969 Mustang Mach 1.
This Mustang Mach 1 is a Genuine Number matching vehicle that Morrey brough about 14 years whilst living in Karratha, which is north of Perth in Western Australia. Morrey has done a bit of a resto mod on the Mustang Mach 1 by adding RRS front end rack and pinions set up, plus upgraded Disc Brakes also from RRS. He wanted the car to look like someone would have got when they got back from the Vietnam War but with all the cruising abilities.

The Mustang Mach 1 was previous owned and was getting restored for a gentleman that unfortunately had gotten cancer so they rushed the project for the person to enjoy, but sadly he did not get to enjoy it. So when Morrey got the Mustang, he had to redo the paint work and the body gaps of the vehicle to get it right. Which he did after the engine.
Its running a 351 Windsor with high Rise Air gapped Manifold with twin Edelbrock Carbies, polished valve covers, aluminum oil catcher and custom radiator overflow / washer bottle aluminum tank by cronic customs Perth.

Morrey has been a part of the Midwest Show n Shine and the Targa West Dension Sprint for about 4 or 5 years now and loves the event for the time trail racing, classic cars and the atmosphere of the crowds.

Tim's VH holden SS Commodore Race Car

We had a chat to Tim about his 1983 VH Holden SS Commodore Race Car that was converted in the early 1990's into race and rally car for the Targa West Race Circuit by the previous owner.

Tim has had the vehicle for about months now and under went a hand over process with the previous owner, but since then has gone onto doing as many race circuits as possible to gain experience in all the different tracks around Western Australia.

The VH Holden SS Commodore was running a 355 Stroker engine but now running a 6 speed LS V8 Engine with Tremac gearbox and 9" Ford Diff. This is first time on this track at Port Dension and is looking forward to it.

We managed at catch Tim racing around the circuit the next day at the Port Dension Sprint and Midwest Show n Shine 2023. Great job mate.

David's FJ 55 Landcruiser Turbo Barra
We came across this whilst walking through the Caravan Park. it looked like a rusty bush basher Landcruiser until walked past the Engine Bay. We saw a new Turbo Barra in this FJ 55 Cruiser. We had to speak to owner.

David grab this FJ landcruiser as part of a Deceased Estate and decided to do something with it. His Brother has a 45 Cruiser with a Supercharged LS1 V8 engine but he wanted to do his different. So he found an 80 series chassis for the FJ 55 and then got a FG Ford Falcon Turbo Barra engine for it. His Brother placed in the Haltech Tuning Dash unit for the Turbo Barra to help see what was going on at all times.

David loves this FJ for a fun family vehicle to get out, have a ball with the family and travel. The front bench seat helps to comfortably fit 6 people in it . David wanted to keep the look of the rusty external of the FJ for Character and it does. We also check out his expensive stereo unit in it and lost it. Awesome FJ mate.
