In 2019 I was working on developing a surreal noir text adventure/platformer game with a few friends. The game never got close to finishing, but I had written this music for it.
When considering how I wanted score the game we were making I wanted to take the opportunity to truly focus on building mood and atmosphere. As a result, there aren't a lot of abrupt or large shifts in momentum or texture.
My 1980 Rhodes Mark II electric piano and Korg Minilogue analog synthesizer dominate the instrument make up of the album, along with programmed drum kit using Steven Slate Drums 5. The Hammond organ on tracks 1, 6, 7, and 9 come from my Roland VR-09 and the piano in track 1 comes from my Roland RD-2000.
